To the union of Henry and Addie, 4 more children were born: Maude b. 1875, Frances “Fannie” b. 1881, Henry Brown b. 1883, and Eva Leah b. 1885, for a total of 12 documented children born to Henry. The 1880 census of Gonzales Co., TX, lists Henry (53), with wife, Ada (30), and ten children: George N. O’Neill (25), James O’Neill (18), Eli Smiley (15), Lela O’Neill (12), Mattie Smiley (12), Neal Smiley (8), Emma O’Neill (7), Beasley O’Neill (6), Maude O’Neill (4), and Fannie O’Neill (3). The entire 1890 census was destroyed and therefore is not available. The 1900 census of Kerr County, Texas lists Henry O’neill with wife Addie and children: Fannie, Henry B., Eva, John B; step-son Eli J. Smiley; and step-granddaughter, Beulah Smiley. Henry and Addie’s daughter, Eva Leah is said to have been born in Kerrville, Kerr Co., TX, in 1885 so it is assumed that sometime between 1880 and 1885 the O’Neill family moved from Leesville, Gonzales Co., TX, to Kerrville, Kerr Co., TX, although no one knows why.

Apparently by December 1925, Addie was living in Robstown, Nueces Co., TX, either with, or near, her daughter Fannie and Fannie’s husband, Ernest Rhodes. This is verified by a bond that was filed in December of 1925 that stated her widow’s pension being either lost, destroyed, or not received. On September 29, 1932, a mortuary warrant was filed by Addie’s son-in-law, Ernest Rhodes in Nueces Co., TX. A mortuary warrant usually stated that the recipient of a pension had died and requested money for the necessities of a funeral. This document stated that Addie died on September 13, 1932 in Robstown, Nueces Co., TX, at Ernest’s home. Addie was buried in the Kenedy Cemeterey in Kenedy, Karnes Co., TX, along with her son, Neal Smiley.
