Clarence O'Neill was born in Australia

Clarence ONeill was born in 1883 in Albany, Western Australia. He was the son of Thomas O'Neill and Elizabeth Duplex.

He enlisted on 26 February 1915 [1] and joined the 28th Australian Infantry Battalion.

Clarence was wounded in action and taken prisoner [2].

He died on 5 October 1916 [3] in Munster, Lower Saxony, Germany, at the age of 33, and was buried in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

Notes

Clarence was initially stated as killed in action in July 1916 but was later identified as a prison of war at that time.
