OBITUARY

MR. WILLIAM O'ROURKE

The death occurred in Maitland hospital on Friday last, of Mr. Wm. O'Rourke, of Osterley, Nelson's Plains, at the age of 56 years from heart trouble. He had not been ill for any great length of time prior to his death, and was in hospital only a short time.

He was born at Osterley and had resided in the district almost all his life. He was quiet and unassuming in his manner and was generally respected by those who knew him. He was unmarried.

His brothers are Messrs. Alphonsus, John and Thomas, Osterley : Vincent, Sydney. His sisters are Mrs. Rich and Mrs. O'Connor, Sydney and Miss Annie O'Rourke and Miss Lilian O'Rourke, Osterley.

During his illness in the hospital he was visited by Very Rev. J. O'Donohoe, of Raymond Terrace, Dr. Tweedie and Rev. Fr. Witnell. The funeral was held on Saturday when the rivers were in flood, and consequently few were able to attend at Morpeth cemetery, where the Rev. Fr.. Walsh officiated.
