Note: Slater, Beverly Ann "Bev" (Nee O'Rourke) Entered Eternal Life on August 11, 2007 at the age of 82. Loving mother of John Patrick "J.P." Slater. Treasured sister of Lewis (Delores) Martin and Elaine Huchmala. Caring aunt of Steven (Kelly) Huchmala, Timothy Huchmala, David Martin, Caroline (Mike) Gabrich and Lori (Ilya) Peteuka. Caring great-aunt of Rachel and Erica Gabrich. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. In the 50's and 60's Bev was a successful fashion model, working throughout the country. In her later years she enjoyed her position as a receptionist for (A.S.Q.) American Society for Quality, in Milwaukee. She retired at the age of 80 and is still greatly missed by those she worked with. Bev was an enthusiastic sports fan, an avid reader and an exceptional sewer who enjoyed top-quality detailing. She also was a figure skater and former member of the Milwaukee Figure Skating Club. Bev made the most of each day and will be remembered as a genuine people person, who always enjoyed an interesting conversation and spending time with others. Visitation will be held at the Feerick Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 14, from 5:30 PM until the time of a Catholic prayer service, celebrated at 6:30 PM. Interment will be private at a later date.
