Biography

Rachel Bagnell Oakley ...... married a Mr. McCarthy. I do not know his first name because he was always called Mack by our family. Mr. McCarthy was Company Secretary of Samuel’s Bank in City of London and after marriage lived at Radlett (Herts) from 1920’s, until retirement in 1950’s. In retirement they moved to Budleigh Salterton (not far from Honiton ! They had one daughter Brenda, born late 1920’s, who went to Cheltenham Ladies College. Brenda married before her parents moved to Devon to a Mr. Attenborough, a jeweller based in London."
