Oswald Neville Oakes was born on March 1, 1896 in Bundaberg, Colony of Queensland, son of Alick Cosby Oakes (1864–1939) and Lilian Hope Bloxham (1868–1942).[1]
Oswald died on August 19, 1981 in Cairns, Queensland, Australia, aged 85.[2]
