Oakes-1949 and Oakes-517 appear to represent the same person because: I believe this is same person , I think someone got mixed up on Mahala's surname , It is Smith but on one of the records it refers to her as Choate which could be a error or she remarried

Oakes-829 and Oakes-517 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents that also needs to be merged

Difference in estimated date of death to be noted in the biography until a source can be added.

Oakes-765 and Oakes-517 appear to represent the same person because: Greetings, I have only recently found this site. I have been using the Family Tree Maker for about 10 years and all my data is in that program. I don't have experience in this application, but I believe it will be an asset in creating interesting family trees.

I entered Rama Oakes and it of course came back as a match to your Oakes. There are small differences, but no doubt they are the same. I would be glad to work with you to sort this out if you are interested.
