Biography

James Dunn Oakes was bornat West Newbury, Massachusetts on April 7, 1866, the son of Edward Oakes and Rebecca Dunn. [1]

James was living in West Newbury, Massachusetts working as on the Expressway, in 1920, unmarried with his brothers Thomas and George. [2]

He and brother George were living in West Newbury in 1930 as well where he owned a farm on Coffin Street. [3]

James died in 1943 and is buried in the Rural Cemetery in West Newbury, with brothers George and William, as well as other family members. [4]
