Henry James Lionel Oakes was born on April 30, 1879 in Bengal, India, son of Orbell Henry Oakes (1851–1939) and Laura Elizabeth Josephine Clifton (1856–~1925).[1]
Henry (29) married Georgina Anne Emily Napier (51) (born about 1857 in Chichester, Sussex, England; daughter of Gen. William Craig Emilius Napier) on April 21, 1909.[2]
Henry died on November 11, 1944 in Suffolk, England, United Kingdom, aged 65. He was buried in St Peter's Churchyard, Nowton, St Edmundsbury Borough, Suffolk.[1]
