Frank married Emily Margaret Walsh in 1881 in Macouarie, New South Wales.^[1]

Their son was Norman Clyde Oakes (~1883–~1961).^[2]

Francis died on August 30, 1938 in Manly, New South Wales, Australia, aged 84.^[3][4]
