Biography

Albert Oakley was born in 1895 in Weston Underwood, Derbyshire, England. He grew up to be a farm worker, but at 19 years old joined the army and was posted to the Shropshire Light Infantry. He was killed in action on the 27th September 1918 in Flanders, France. He is buried in the war grave cemetery at Haucourt, the Vis-en-Artois cemetery.
