Biography

Delos was born in Adams Village, New York State about 1820.[1]

He married Autha McCollen. (see Research Notes) Their children included:

In 1851, Delos and Antha were living in Norwich, Oxford (county), Canada West (Ontario); Delos was a shoemaker.[5] The 1851 census lists a Loren Oatman (21) living in their household or in the next household.

By 1852, he was living at 8th concession, number 22 in Norwich, Canada West (Ontario) and had about 1/4 acre of land.[6][7] In 1853, Delos (31) was working at a shoemaker.[8]

By 1861, they were living and farming in South Norwich, Oxford, Canada West (Ontario) at concession 10, lot 19.[9][10][11]

In 1882, he and son, Marshall had a total of 36 acres in the 8th concession, number 7&8 in South Norwich, Ontario.[12]

He married Inez Heath on 19 Oct 1882.[13]

He passed away in 1886; he had been a shoemaker.[1]
