Biography

Lydia was born in 1761 in New Hampshire to parents Israel Ober and Mary (Pittman) Ober. [1] Israel and Lydia married young[2] and had only one surviving child, Israel Jr. [3] In 1779 Lydia is listed as the administrator of her husband's estate [4]In 1788 she married David McLaughlin.[5] She applied for Israel's pension in 1838. There were two surviving children when shed died, Thomas and James McLaughlin[6].
