Harry Oddie was born in Lancashire, England.

Henry was born in Clitheroe, Lancashire, England, in 1891.^[1] His birth was registered in the second quarter. He was the son of John Oddie and Ann Slading, and the oldest of three children. He was enumerated in the 1901 ^[2]and 1911 ^[3]census residing with his family in Clitheroe. He declared his occupation as "Loomer" (Cotton Weaving Industry) in 1911.

Harry married Margaret Astley in 1924.^[4]. The marriage was registered in the second quarter in Clitheroe. The couple would have at least one child, Barbara in December, 1924.

Harry passed away in 1931.^[5]His death was registered in the first quarter in Clitheroe. He was thirty nine.
