Biography

Jon was born November 3, 1854 and christened November 5, 1854. His parents were Olof Olofsson and his wife Kjerstin Ersdotter. Witnesses: Olof Jönsson and his wife Karin Ersdotter. [1]

He alredy has 5 half siblings since his father Olof Olofsson has been married before. When Jon is 4 years old his father dies (1858). In December 26, 1862 his mother Kjerstin Ersdotter marries Olof Nilsson, born August 28, 1831 in Fryksände.

He now gets more halfsiblings, Kristina born May 25, 1863 and Maria born June 16, 1865. Maria dies January 5, 1866. [2]

In April 1867 his half brother Nils is born and on April 22, 1867 the whole family leave Mellangården, Östkärnshöjden for North America (I think it says Iowa and a place starting with M).[3]

John was born in 1854. He was the son of Olaf Odman. He passed away in 1929.[4]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
