Tom, As you start your ODOM search, also look for other spellings, such as ODEM, ODUM, OLDHAM. There are many ODOM's in the US and many family members who are interested in genealogy, so you should get some help along the line. (My grandmother was an ODOM from Missouri, but her grandfather came up from Louisiana).
