It is unclear who this unsourced profile for Edgina is meant to represent. There appears to be no evidence that King Alfred had a daughter of this name (as is suggested in the biography). The relationship fields show her as a daughter of Ethelhelm of Wessex. She has previously been shown as a spouse of Edward the Elder - who would have been her brother (and certainly not her husband) if she was a child of Alfred. Edward the Elder's first wife was Ecgwyn, whose name can be found spelt in several different ways, but nothing certain is known of Ecgwyn's origin. What is shown on this profile is clearly confused. I am gradually seeking to sort out some of the relationship and other muddles on Anglo-Saxon profiles. - Michael Cayley 16:25, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
