Biography

Hannah (Anna) Ogburn was born in 1706 in Burlington, New Jersey to John Ogburn (1672-1714) and Anne Knott (1677-1745). She married Job Lippincott on 25 Jun 1728 in Burlington County, New Jersey. They had 4 children: Job Lippincott II (1730-1768), Anna (1732-1768), Sary (1734-1794) and Joseph (1744-1752). She died on 15 Apr 1791 in Mount Holly, New Jersey.

Stillwell records more detail on Anna and Job's children and grandchildren in his "Addenda and Errata", pages 378-379. He includes good information but he requires careful reading to avoid confusing all the names. And he's not infallible, but he usually cites his sources.

Stillwell explains the name discrepancy between Anna and Hannah on page 379; only in her grandfather's will was she called Hannah; her stepfather (also in grandpa's will with a garbled name) called her Anna and she was Anna on her marriage license.

Ogborne-16 and Ogburn-319 appear to represent the same person because: "Ogburn" is spelling on her marriage license.
