George Ogden is an Anzac who served in World War One.
George Robert Ogden
George Robert Ogden was born in 1888 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia[1],
the son of Robert Ogden and Mary Hathaway.
He was the brother of Mabel M Ogden, Isabella M Ogden, Alfred J Ogden, Samuel A Ogden and Horace C Ogden.

He married Elizabeth Bryen on 1911 at Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia[2].
Their children were Mary Amelia Isabel (Ogden) McDonald, Elizabeth Ada (Ogden), Mabel Florence (Ogden) Dawson, Beryl (Ogden) Cohen, Keith Ogden, Philip Ogden, Clara (Ogden) Champion, Colin Ogden and Kevin Ogden.

George served in World War I from 1 May 1915, being part of the Gallipoli Campaign, until being discharged as medically unfit, the reason given "sciatica at his right hip", and transported back to Australia, arriving on 10 March 1918.

GEORGE ROBERT OGDEN: "Mr. George Robert Ogden, of 34 Cam- den Street, Fairfield, collapsed and died in Elizabeth Street, Sydney on Tuesday, of last week, shortly after leaving a doc- tor where he was receiving treatment for an illness. He had previously spent some weeks in Yaralla Hospital. Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Ogden, and her family, in their sad loss. Born at Parramatta. the late Mr. Og- den was a carrier for many years. He enlisted at Parramatta in World War One, serving with the 1st Pioneer Battalion, and was invalided home. He had suffered from effects of the war till his demise. Mr. and Mrs. Ogden moved to Fairfield 30 years ago, and had lived in the same house ever since. Mr. Ogden was keenly interested in the Manchester Unity Oddfellows, having became a Past Noble Grand at Fairfield, and later joined the Past Noble Grands' Lodge at Parramatta. The funeral took place last Thursday for Smithfleld Cemetery, Church of England portion. The minister, Rev. S. A. Turner, officiated at the graveside, and the Oddfellows Service was conducted by Messrs. Dawson and Burleigh, of Fairfield lodge. Children of the deceased are: Mary (Mrs. McDonald, Scofield), Ada (Mrs. Blevin, Parramatta), Beryl (Mrs. Cohen, Church St. Parramatta), Florence (Mrs. Dawson, Longfield St.. Cabramatta), Keith (Macquarie Fields), Philip, Clara (Mrs. Champion)', Colin, Kevin (Mograg), Leona."
