DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Sarah by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Sarah:
I present a question for all to ponder for me/us. In the book "A History of Rockbridge County, VA" on page 516, Ogden marriages are listed as:
"Ogden - 1. Cornelius m. Susannah Diehl, 1799; 2. Joseph m. Sarah Wiars, 1806; 3. Sarah m. Christian Roads, 1809. "
Under the Rhodes listed marriage are: "1. Abraham v. Elizabeth Thomas, 1810; 2. Catherine m. George Gale. 1800; 3. Catharine m. Andrew Lair, 1803; 4. Christian m. Sarah Ogden, 1809; 5. Eve m. Phillip Syler, 1790; 6. Jean m. George Good, 1799; 7. Margaret b. 1758, d. 1830; 8. Mary m. John Palmer, 1802."
Given the birthdate of George Christopher that this profile is connected was born 1765 and this Sarah Ogden having married in 1809 is either incorrect or connected to the wrong Christopher/Christian. To make matters more confusing father of George Christopher is connected to Susannah (Peters) who is listed as dying in 1813. There is a mismatch here, yes?
I used the compare function on the Ogden-3354 or the Rhoades-2036 group I get connected to a SARAH (FURR) OGDEN ID: Ogden-3698 born circa 1740 - 1813
If this the correct Sarah Ogden, marriage dates need to be look at and perhaps this Sarah Ogden is the surname of a first marriage???
