James Adey Ogle, MD was the son of Richard Ogle. He attended Eton and matriculated Trinity college Oxford in 1809. He proceeded A.B. 21st October, 1813; A.M. 24th April, 1816; M.B. 24th May, 1817, and M.D. 3rd February, 1820.
In 1810 Ogle married Sarah, younger daughter of Jeston Homfray, esq., of Broadwaters, near Kidderminster. She died in 1835, leaving four sons and five daughters.
