Biography

Charles Wallis or Wallace Ogle (b. 1796 - d. 23 Jul 1849), was a planter in Jamaica.[1][2]

Charles was the brother of:

  • William Ogle Wallis Ogle (dvp), resided in Paris, m. Harriet (d. 15 Jul 1848 Paris), dau. of Daniel Orde of Longridge.
  • Henry Wallis Ogle (d. 06 Oct 1814 Halifax)
  • Maria (dvp) m. (04 Jun 1821 Yardley, Hertfordshire) Rev. James Camper Wright, M.A., rector of Walker, Hertfordshire.

Death

He was thrown from a horse, and died from a resulting brain injury on 23 July 1849. He was buried at St. Cuthbert's centry-garth in Darlington.
