Ephraim was born in 1856 in Tennessee, United States[1][2]. In 1883 he married Hannah Evans[3]. He died in 1936[4] and is buried in the White Oak Flats cemetery in Gatlinburg, Tennessee[2].

    Gatlinburg, May 8 – Ephraim Ogle, for 61 years a storekeeper in Gatlinburg and known as the wealthiest man in Sevier County, is dead. Mr. Ogle died at his home here Thursday afternoon after two weeks illness. He was 80 years old. For 33 years he was postmaster. His hobby was mathematics. People enjoyed trying to stump him on problems. He had farms in Sevier and other counties. Surviving are his son, Charles, a daughter, Mrs. Crockett Maples, and seven grandchildren.
