Nicholas Ogle of Bolingbroke (b. c. 1539 Pinchbeck - d. 06 Sep 1582; bur. 06 Sep 1582 Bolingbroke).[4][1] was the second son of:

  • Richard Ogle of Pinchbeck (d. 25 Nov 1555).[1][2]
  • and Beatrice (fl. 1556), dau. of John Cooke, esq. of Gidea Hall in Havering, Magdalen Laver, etc. co. Essex & Alice, d. & coh. of William Saunders, esq. of Banbury, co. Oxford.[1][2][3]

He served as MP for Plympton Erle, Devon in 1563.[3]

He's mentioned in the will of his uncle Anthony Cooke, dated 22 May 1576.[4]

Marriage

Nicholas married Anne, d. & coh. of John Freeman of Hagnaby, Lincs. & Collierrow, Essex.[3] They were married on 21 November 1566 at Romford, Essex.[5]

Death

Nicholas was buried on 6 Sep 1582 at Bolinbroke, Lincs.[8] He was survived by his wife Anne, who remarried two more times. Her second husband was John Bradley of Louth (bur. 14 May 1591 Louth; will 05 May 1591, proved 09 July 1591), Dr. of Physic of Magdalene College, Cambridge; and the last was Jervase Neville. Anne was still alive on 30 October 1606.[9]
