Alexzander Ohler (1884-1976) , aged 92 years, of Markelton, RD 1 died December 8, 1976 in Somerset Community Hospital. He was born February 7, 1884, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, a son of the late

  • Joseph Ohler (1845-1936) and
  • Sarah (Phillippi) Ohler (1855-1939).

He was preceded in death by

He is survived by the following children:

  • Mrs. Alice P. (Ohler) Porterfield (1913-2005),
  • Mrs. Eva Grace (Ohler) Hoover (1920-2012),
  • Harold F. Ohler (1927-2011) all of Makelton RD 1;
  • Elmer Harvey Ohler (1923-2013) of Markleton and
  • Mrs. Sarah Ellen (Ohler) Sanner (1919-1999) of Confluence RD 1;
  • 23 grandchildren and
  • 46 great grandchildren.

He was a member of the Old Bethel Church of God. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence and until 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The body will lie in state at the Old Bethel Church of God from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., the hour of service on Saturday, Dec. 11. Rev. Paul Tobias officiating. Interment, Old Bethel Cemetery.
