Hi Clare

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The England Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Have questions? Let me know by using the "reply" link under my comments or by clicking my name to visit my profile. From there you can leave a comment or send a private message.

Thanks for your information on Henry Abbey.

It sounds very likely to e , so I have made you a Manager on that profile, and his wife's. This should allow you to input as much as you wish. If you would prefer to do this in rough and leave me to tidy up the presentation that is fine - collaboration is the name of the WikiTree game.

Hello Clare!

You've been a member for a few weeks so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions? Most of us have questions after all that information!

I want to help! Click my name, send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Cindy ~ WikiTree Messenger

PS To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Thanks for signing the Honor Code, Clare! I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years.

Check out the How-to pages for some quick tips on working with both the Wiki pages and our other members. There is some great information in those pages.

If you have questions about how WikiTree works, let me know and I will find answers. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Debi ~ WikiGreeter

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.

Hi Clare, Thank you so much for your comment on my profile of Matthew Bateson! Could you let me know what your sources are for that interesting information about him and his family? Also, are you saying that he was born in 1763? I now can't remember why I thought he was born in 1750, and so I suspect that 1763 may well be the right date (it is more plausible that he married at the age of 23 than at the age of 36). I would be happy to correct my profile of him if you can point me to the historical sources! Thanks!
