Biography
According to Heimskringla, Ingjald illráða was the father of Óláfr trételgja. Olof's mother was Gauthildr, daughter of king Algaute and Álöf, whose father was Kong Olaf Skarpøie af Nærike. Óláfr trételgja and his wife Sölva had two sons, Ingjald and Halfdan.[1]
Ynglingasaga
Ingjald was son of Olof Treefeller Ignaldsson and Solveig Halfdansdotter and brother of Halfdan Hvitbein. He was king of Vermeland and pre-deceased his brother. [2]
