Biography

Gudmund was born 1679, and was the son of Olav Gudmundson Håland and Sissel Børgesdotter Aubø from Sjernarøy.^[1]

He was sheriff in Jelsa 1727-37.^[1]

He was the farmer at Lid in Fister in 1706, then at Økstra until 1721, then at Håland from 1721 onwards.^[1]

He was married to Marita Jonasdotter Hielm, daughter of the parson in Hjelmeland.^[1] Their children were:

• Olav, born 1706^[1]
• Brynhild, born 1709^[1]
• Jonas, born 1716^[1]
• Sissel, born 1708^[1]

Gudmund's probate was 11 May 1739.^[1]
