Rachel and her brother Thomas were brought to the York County, Pennsylvania Orphan's court by their brother Isaac in 1758. [7] The text has been transcribed:

22 March 1758 Isaac Oldham, oldest son and Heir at Law of William Oldham, late of Tyrone Township, Black Smith, deceased, who died intestate chose John W. Cickle? (McMichel?) of Menallen Twp., Black Smith as guardian. John Cox, administrator of William Oldham, late of Tyrone Twp., Black Smith, who died intestate prayed that some person be appointed guardians of Rachel Oldham and Thomas Oldham, minor orphan children of said William. The Court appoints William Delapand Finley McGrew.

Isaac returned to the orphan's court in 1760, again with minors Rachel and Thomas. [8]:

27 May 1760 John Cox, administrator of William Oldham, lat of County of Lancaster but since the erection of the new Counties in York County, yeoman, deceased, who died intestate and produced his accounts. It is decreed by the Court that the administrator in right of his wife retain 39 pounds, 18 shillings, and 9 pence (the widow of said intestate's thirds with whom he intermarried and also 10 pounds allowed for the maintenance of Thomas Oldham, a minor child of the Intestate and the said Cox pay to William Delap and Finley McGrew guardians of the minor children 39 pounds, 18 shillings, 9 pence the share of Isaac, eldest son of said Intestate with interest from 1 January 1751 and pay the guardians 19 pounds, 19 shillings, 4 pence the share of Rachel a minor child with interests from 1 January 1751 and pay the guardians 21 pounds, 9 shillings, 6 pence the share of Thomas a minor of said Intestate

Isaac brought the children a final time in 1762. [9]:

2 Sep. 1762 Isaac Oldham eldest son and heir at law of William Oldham, late of York County, deceased, by petition set forth his father died intestate leaving lawful issue: the Petitioner his Eldest son and Heir at Law, Rachel Oldham, and Thomas Oldham. At his death he owned an improvement and tract of land in Tyrone Township containing 100 acres that the same will not admit to division amongst all the children without prejudice to the whole. The petitioner is willing to hold the improvement and make satisfaction to the other children for their shares and prays for the court to appoint persons to view and value the same. The Court appoints John Lawrence, Thomas Stockton, John Wilson, Isaac Sadler, Victor King, and William McGrew or any four of them.
