A pioneer settler of Staten Island David Oliphant, eldest son of Duncan and Mary Garrison Oliphant,[1] born March 1 1712/13 Staten Island, New York and died September 3 1774 in Burlington County, New Jersey. [2] He married (1) Anna Lee with whom he had four children: Hosea, John, Jerusha, Jonathan [3]and (2) Hannah Stout, daughter of Benjamin and Hannah Bonham Stout about 1727. [4] [5] [6]
