Biography

George was born in 1841. George was the son of George and Sarah Oliphant.

Census 1851: Living with his parents and four siblings at 17 Frederick Place, Plumstead, Kent, England. Aged 10 and a scholar.

George married Mary Harriett Wemyss on 8 May 1867 at Nynee Tal, Bengal, India.^[2]

They had at least four children.

Census 1891: Living with his wife in Hale Road, Farnham, Surrey, England with three of their children, a visitor and two servants. Aged 50.

Occupation: Inspecting Veterinary Surgeon

By 31 March 1901 his wife had passed away and he was living in Woburn, Bedfordshire, England. Aged 60. Also in the household was his son Frank, daughter in law Grace and two servants.

Occupation: LIEUT COL RETIRED DEPARTMENT ARMY VETY

He probably passed away in 1920.^[3]
