I posted a check-in message a couple of weeks ago about the US Black Heritage Project to ask you about your activity with the project, but haven’t heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project? If I don’t hear from you by next week I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things. You’re always welcome to re-join the project at any time.
Thanks, Emma MacBeath, USBH Project Co-Leader
I’m conducting the 6-month check in for the US Black Heritage Project. Because we are growing so fast, it’s not always possible for me to see what everyone’s working on.
I’d love to hear what you’ve been working on and if you are still happy being a part of the Heritage Exchange team. Members can change teams at any time.
Emma

I am a descendant of Choctaw Bill. We believe he was a great Uncle or Grandfather.. My paternal line is Williams and our line ends at John Williams Sr, leader of the Choctaw Indians. I wonder if you know why their name was Williams? Did they adopt that surname? Any idea what the real surname might have been? I recently learned that I am related via DNA to two ancestors of Choctaw Bill. And that I tested as having 1% DNA of Plains and Eastern Woodlands Indians across 6 chromosomes. I don't understand how to link any of the DNA information. Am just really confused about it all. Could it be that if John Williams Sr (Cherwa Leader) adopted the last name Williams, that I am not really a Williams? And the reason for my mostly European Ancestry is because all the men married European women over the time period?
James Williams and Alice McRae John Williams IV and Anne Williams ( alleged Nottaway Cheraw leader) Stephen Williams and Elizabeth Lewis There is no conclusive proof on any of them, so the Y-DNA would be helpful for comparison. Frankly I adhere to the James Williams and Alice McRae view, based solely on the work cited in the source section.
If you’d like to rejoin at any stage you would be most welcome to do so by answering the G2G sign-up post here
Many thanks,
Betty -- 1776 Project Leader
I sent you a check-in message several days ago about the 1776 Project to ask you about your past and continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project?
If I don’t hear from you in a week or so, I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things, but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Best wishes,
Betty -- 1776 Project Leader

You have some space pages about North Carolina or Province of Carolina listed on this page. If you would like, to copy/paste the links and add to the Carolina Team page and the Province of North Carolina team page.. If you do that, make them privacy green, so they do not get changed....
I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.
If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.
We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.
If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
SJ - 1776 Project Leader

I was on the SoCOL Google Group, when you mentioned joining the Carolinas. I have added you to all three Carolinas: Province of Carolina Team, https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:US_Southern_Colonies_Province_of_Carolina_Team Province of North Carolina (1712-1776) Team https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:US_Southern_Colonies_Province_of_North_Carolina_%281712-1776%29_Team and Province of South Carolina(1712-1776) Team https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:US_Southern_Colonies_Province_of_South_Carolina_(1712-1776)_Team

Since you indicated that you like to write biographies will you write some biographies on some of the proven Jamestown profiles?. There are some in the table which need biographies written for Jamestown. on this page: Jamestown, Virginia Colony . I am sorry I do not have a decent list other than all the proven people, but I trust you will find the profiles which need Better biographies and some with virtually no biography.
Thanks,
Mary - Jamestown Project Coordinator
We're sad to inform you that the Black Sheep Project is being dissolved. All BSP's subprojects will be moved in pieces under the Notables Project as categories and perhaps as Teams, depending on interest. Witch Trials will become a subproject of Notables.
Your BSP project member badge will soon be removed. If you'd like to join the Notables project, please let one of us know and we'll get you a Notables badge.
Please email either of us if you have any questions and if you'd like to join the Notables project.
Thanks, Susan McNamee & Traci Thiessen ~co-leaders, Black Sheep Project
Willl yoou fill in your area of interest on this Jamestown Team page, please https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:US_Southern_Colonies_Jamestown_Team
Thanks

As you may have seen, we have been doing some restructuring in the US Southern Colonies Project and are now organising ourselves into different teams. We have also changed the criteria for membership. Please have a look at the new project pages, and let me know whether you would like to remain in the project and, if so, which team(s) you would like to be in.
Please can you also send me your e-mail address. I can then make sure you are introduced to your Team Leaders and are in the Google Group.
Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the US Southern Colonies Project that you respond to these check-ins. We’re really excited for the future of the project and hope that you decide to be a part of it with us moving forwards.
Many thanks,
Susie, US Southern Colonies Project Co-Leader

The Southern Colonies project is no longer active. Feel free to work on Jamestown profiles, being careful not to create duplicates. You may want to join the Virginia Project.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, any previous responses or notations on project members roles within the Black Sheep project or any sub-projects became inaccessible.
I apologize for any inconvenience.
Deb ~ Volunteer Coordinator
It has been a few weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Black Sheep Project and as we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.
We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. If this is the case for you, please let us know.
If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.
Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.
