James was born in Dec 1825, in Abbeville, South Carolina, United States.
James Yancey's first wife was Elizabeth "Unknown" who was born in 1830/1 in AL and died between 1865-1866.
They had 9 known children together including William R. Oliver listed here.
James then married Indiana I Bond in 1866/67 and they had 7 children together. (There are 13 children are listed on FAG Memorial).
James Yancey passed away in 1903. He was buried at the Mount Pisgah Cemetery, Duck Hill, Montgomery, Mississippi, United States.
