Biography

Uncle Guy was the last of his siblings. My great grandmother ran out of names and they called him "Little Guy" until he was 5 and since they hadn't thought of another name, just named him, "Guy." He became the post master in Mesquite, NM and he spoke Spanish.

The 1940 United States census records: Joe (45) and Pluma (35) with children Margie (16), Mary (13), and Bobby Joe (11) are living in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Pluma's brother, Guy Oliver (28) is also living with them with Guy's wife, Ola (24), and child Jay Jay (5). [1]
