Biography
Ann Catherine Oliver was born in 1828. She was baptised on 25 May 1828 at Saint Nicholas, Brighton, Sussex, England.[1] She was the daughter of Theophilus Oliver and Mary Bailey.[2] In 1851 she lived with her mother, William, and James in Brighton and worked as a laundress.[3] In 1861 she lived with her mother in West Hill Street, Brighton.[4] In 1871 Mary and Ann lived in St Peter, Brighton, and Ann continued to work as a laundress.[5]
Ann Catharine Oliver was admitted as a pauper to the County Lunatic Asylum in Wivelsfield on 8 April 1880. She died there on 16 December 1880 at age 52.[6] She was buried on 20 December 1880 in Wivelsfield, Sussex, England, with ceremony by John S. Foster, vicar.[7]
