Elizabeth Oliver alias Jane Nevison was in Durham Goal from 1811 to 1813 for "obtaining money under false pretences". Late summer, early autumn 1811 she was out on Bail, her bondsmen being John Oliver, farmer of Sedgefield, her father and James Barron her brother in law.
