Rex died on 27 Sep 1952 at Everett, Snohomish, Washington. He was the son of Carl F. Oliver and Daisy Hidinger. He is buried at the Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett; Snohomish County; Washington, USA.

Both parents were 36 years old, b. Iowa. Carl's father was born in Canada, while Daisy's father was born in Germany and her mother in Iowa. Two other children are living with the family: K., 13 b. Oregon; and Carl Frederick, 4 b. Washington. Carl owned the house they lived in at 1018 Rucker Ave. in Everett.
