Sidney (Oliver) Vowell is a member of the One Place Studies Project.
Sidney (Oliver) Vowell is a Tennessean.
Biography
Born and raised in West Tennessee. Mother to two sons, one daughter and one granddaughter and happen to have a wonderful husband. I have lived in Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Kentucky. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership and Learning from the University of Louisville. My career has been in the people business as a manager of Human Resources.
Nashville is my favorite city, with New Orleans as a close 2nd. Reelfoot Lake in Lake County, Tn is my happy place. I have so many memories there with my mom, dad and brother.
I like to spend time with my family, fish, work on DIY projects and research genealogy.
I am looking for the Oliver/Stokes connection. We appear to have a NPE in our Oliver line. My uncle's Y-DNA matches up with the male Stokes line.

We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.
Sidney, you sent a private message to the Westward Ho project regarding your genealogical connections to Murphy-5822. If you have content to add to the profiles of your ancestors and other family, please edit the profiles (or create new profiles) as needed, citing appropriate sources. Project involvement with a profile does not prevent edits to that profile by individual members, nor does it restrict editing of profiles of descendants or other relatives.
I saw you were possibly following a misspelled tag for CEMETERIES. But not to worry - making updates to your followed tags are pretty easy! Just head over to your followed tags and you can update the tag in just a few seconds!
I also noticed that you are not yet a member of the Global Cemeteries Project?! If you are interested in more details about the project, or are just ready to sign up, please head on over to our G2G Welcome Post for more information.
Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.
Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.
This week we have your last stop on the guided tour. Hopefully, you're feeling like a WikiTree pro!
You've covered a lot of ground the past few weeks. Today, we want to give you just a few more tools that can take you even deeper into the WikiTree forest without getting lost: How to Dig a Little Deeper.
You've probably been hard at work adding family members and getting connected to those that are already here. You should have at least a few profiles that you manage now.
This week, we'd like to introduce you to our community and show you some ways to get more involved and stay up to date on everything that's going on: How to Join in the Community.
You've been here a week now, and we hope you enjoyed your first stop on your guided tour of WikiTree and were able to make good use of the things you learned.
You are now a confirmed member, and you can get started adding your family members. As we've said, WikiTree is quite different from other genealogy sites. So, we've put together a guided tour to help you learn how to use it. Your first stop is How to Start Climbing Our Tree.
Tomorrow, you'll hear from a Mentor who will check in to see how you're doing and answer any questions you might have.
Next week, you'll get another message with your next stop on the guided tour.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree?
