Ockert Jacobus was born in 1826 at Twee Riviere, Joubertina to Ockert Jacobus Olivier and Anna Catharina (Streijdom) Olivier.

Ockert was baptised on 25 February 1827 at Uitenhage.[1]

Marriage
Ockert was 24 years old and farming in the Lang Kloof when he married 28 year old Helena Charlotta Kritzinger in the NG Church in George in 1851; there were six children born of this marriage.[2]

Death
Ockert was 47 years old when he passed away in his dwelling at Twee Riviere, Joubertina in 1874.[3][4]
