Ebenezer was born in New York state 1802 or 1812.
He married Nancy Green, likely in Ohio, and they had eight children:
Ebenezer and Nancy lived somewhere in Ohio (possibly Ashtabula County) in the 1830s as their first three children were born there. He apparently moved to Crawford County, Pennsylvania between 1840 and 1842.
He is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, East Mead Twp., Crawford Co., PA
This may be Ebenezer Judson Olmstead, #4771 in the Olmsted genealogy. This is mostly speculation and not proved in the slighest at this time.
Ebenezer appears in the Census in Pennsylvania as Olmstead (with the "a") while known descendants use the Olmsted (no "a") form of the name.
When his family was created (Nov 2016) on WikiTree all of the children were entered as Olmstead. Only his son Charles has been changed to Olmsted (Apr 2019) as there is enough documentation to prove his use of the family name.
Crawford County, Pennsylvania and Ashtabula County, Ohio share a common border which also is the state line. It would have been an easy move of only a few miles to change from one state to other.
