In the 1870 Olive and her two sisters (Hulda and Effie) are living with her father and his new wife, Mary on the family farm in the Town of Potsdam, Saint Lawrence County, New York.
In 1880, at the age of 17, she is a "servant" keeping house for the widower Herbert Wheeler on the farm next to her parents. Also in that household is William J. Wright, hired man, age 24.
Olive and William married and have three children:
Leslie George, b. 1883, d. 1955; m. Selina (unknown)
Charlotte Marie, b. 1884
William H., b. 1887
Olive must have died sometime in the 1890's as her husband died in 1899 and the three children went to live with Elizabeth Wright who was the children's paternal aunt and lived in the Township of Potsdam. In fact Charlotte (Lottie) lived with her aunt (except 1905 census) until Elizabeth's death in 1931 in Potsdam.
