"Son of Jeremiah Olney & Susanna Brown. Married Orpha J. Hawkins (1750-?) on March 27, 1774 in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island. They had seven children: Elizabeth, Joseph, Jeremiah, Rachael, Tryphenia, Hezekiah, and one other daughter whose name is unknown."[1]
Hezekiah Olney married Arpha Hawkins Mar 27 1774 in Pawtucket, Providence, Rhode Island.[2][3] Hezekiah Olney was the son of Jeremiah Olney. Arpha was the daughter of Joseph Hawkins [4]
Hezekiah was in a military record in February 1776 in United States. He was in the unit of rangers and infantrymen serving in Northern New Hampshire, in Captain Daniel Calisle's Company in Colonel Bedel's Regiment. With the rest of his unit he may have been involved in the invasion of Canada, where all members of the unit were captured, then later exchanged in a prisoner swap. [5][6]
