Erik was born at Tveteie in Lunner on 09 Feb 1850 and was baptized at Jevnaker on 01 Apr 1850.[1] His family immigrated to the United States in 1852, leaving Jevnaker on 15 May 1852.[2]
Erik went by Erickson in the United States. In 1870 he was living in Benson, Minnesota with his widowed father Ole.[3] They were in Tunsberg Township in Chippewa County, Minnesota in 1875.[4] He married Bergette Nielson around 1878. She also came to the United States from Oppland, Norway. They lived in Tunsberg Township in 1880.[5] By 1895, they had at least eight children, one of whom died in infancy.[6] The family was living in Watson, Tunsberg Township in 1900.[7]
Erik died on 31 Jul 1900[8] and was buried in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Chippewa County, Minnesota.[9]
