Born Toen, Nes and christened 15 Jul 1725[1]
Died Toedn and buried 24 Mar 1782
Ole bought Nodre-Li farm in 1751 and they were living there before they moved to Toen farm. In 1757 he sold half of the Nordre-Li farm for 110 silver dollars, and in 1764 he sold the second half for 220 Silver dollars. In this document it’s said that Ole wrote his own name. Not many people could write in those days.
In 1763 they were living on Bakkerud Farm, but Feb. 23, 1764 he wrote Ole Thoen as his signature instead of Ole Olsen Bakkerud.
All his children are born at Toen farm, according to the churchbook.
In 1770 he showed the skins of two bears he had shot that summer, and in 1772 he showed the skin of another bear he had shot. They had to go to the court with those skins at the time to get paid.
The inherit after Ole was held in 1782. His wife could not participate because she was ill. 5 of his children were still alive.
