Iver Olsen was the ringer at Kvernes from 1680, and lived at Kjørsvik. He was the son of Ola Sveinsen at Kjørsvik.
Known children:
In the census of 1666 Torstein was the ringer living at Kjørsvik, and he is recorded with two servants, Peder Olsen (50) and Nils Olsen (20). The housemen were Hans Mikkesen (23) and Ole snekker (carpenter) (55), the latter recorded with a son Iver Olsen (20).
In the census of 1701 Iver is recorded as 60, with the sons Oluf (20) and Jakob (18). Iver is recorded in the tax records as the user up to about 1710, and after that it just says 'the ringer'. In 1723 the ringer is named as Søren Iversen.
A probate after Ole snekker is recorded in 1688, and records his name as Ole Sveinsen Snekkarvik. He had with his first wife Maren Iversdatter the children Iver Olsen (the ringer), Anne Olsdatter m. to Anders Målen, and Kirsti Olsdatter (who had been married twice, first to Ole Kipper and then to Hans Sørensen). With his second wife Ingeborg Olsdatter, he had the daughter Maren. A probate is also recorded after Ingeborg in 1685.
