Thank you for attempting to improve my Shirley profiles. Things have changed a lot because of DNA and the Shirley Family Association. Sorry, it took me so long to get back w/ you. I think I found he had a second wife and family.

Hi David,

I removed Marshall Baker/Sherebiah Baker from Thankful, daughter of Abiel Wheelock and Joseph Ward. Marshall married Thankful, the daughter of Obadiah Ward. She's specifically named in Obadiah's will as Marshall Baker's wife.

I have a number of cleanups still to do from my recent GEDCOM upload (and quite a few more persons to upload) so please be patient with me wile I untangle some of the messups.

Hi David

It appears that you added a duplicate profile (GEDCOM)

Jane Griffith of Penryn-1 appears to be a duplicate of Jane of Penrhyn Griffith-540

Both profiles have the same spouse, same dates and parents. Please submit a merge if you agree.

David, Could you please provide me a link to the other Shirley when I try to go to him nothing comes up. I think I descend from the marriage between him and his second wife Elizabeth Mitchell-Grubb

Hi Russell

The person that created the profile wasn't me. If in your research you find they are the same John Shirley then we can merge them. I am not currently a member of the Shirley Association .

The George Lewis merge should be completed, as there is no documentation of his date of birth or death. All we have is "The lewis Family of Wales and America", which is extremely inaccurate and poorly documented, when at all.

Hi David, thanks with your help in merging. However, you need to understand your responsibilities when performing merges. You need to tidy up the profile after the merge to combine all the biographical and source information into a single profile and document any differences noted during the merge such as birth or death dates or places. Thanks again

David, the Ketcham family that you are importing now has a lot of (already duplicate) records. See John Ketcham, 1622, for an example of a duplicate of your "John Ketcham I," just imported.
