Mr. and Mrs. Archie Ongley entertained their children and their families as follows: Mr. and Mrs. Merle Ongley, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Dean of this place and Mr. and Mrs. James Ongley of Sturdevant on Thanksgiving Day. 1

Archie Bruce Ongley obituary, Titusville Herald, 17 May 1948, page 5. 1 Bruce Ongley, aged 78, lifelong farmer and dairyman in the Little Cooley community, died at 11:30 p.m. Friday in St. Vincent's Hospital, Erie following a long illness.

A son of James and Mariah Pratt Ongley, he was born in Athens township Dec 23, 1869. He was a member ofthe Grange for over 50 years and recieved a 50 -year pin som time ago from Bloomfield Grange. He was also a member of the Adventist chruch at Rootville.

He was twice married, first to Mrs. Agnes Howe. He leaves his second wife, Mrs. Maude Ongley, and three children by the first wife: Mrs. Ira Dean of Little Cooley, Merl Ongley of Athens township and James Ongley of Indianopolis, Ind. Ther are 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; also two sisters, Mrs Elva Small of Little Cooley and Mrs. Bertha Fosburgh of Rootville.

The body is at the family home where friends may call. Services will be conducted at the Rotville (sic) Adventist chruch at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with interment in the church cemetery.
