Margaret Onstot was born about 1789 in New Jersey.[1][2]
She married John Martin Hiler on 19 Jan. 1804 in Morris, New Jersey.[3][2]
She appeared on the census of 26 June 1855 in the home of her daughter at Penfield, Monroe, New York.[1]
Margaret died on 12 Dec. 1858 at aPenfield, Monroe County, New York and was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Penfield, Monroe County, New York. Her memorial has a photo and links to those of family members.[2]
Margaret wrote her will on 14 Sep. 1857. It was accepted for probate on 21 March 1859 at Monroe County, New York. She identified "my eldest daughter Sally", "my daughter Hannah", "my daughter Mary Ann", and "my youngest daughter Melissa Ann", Melissa Ann was to receive the bulk of the estate. No other children were identified. Her son-in-law, George Burrow was named sole executor.[4]
