Biography

Catrina was baptized on 26 January 1718 under the auspices of the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York, recorded as the child of Kryn Oosterhout and Marytjen Ploeg. Witnesses were Arent Ploeg and Geertjen Ploeg.^[1]

Kingston marriage record Dec. 10 1736, #843 in Hoes, for Cornelis Peersen jr born and resident in Kingston and Catharina Oosterhout born and resident in Brabant [near Kingston].

Katsbaan DRC marriage notice May 23 1743, #12 in Olde Ulster transcription, for John West resident in Albany and Catharina Osterhoudt resident of Ulster and widow of Cornelis Persen (9, 119f).
