Biography
Samuel was born in 1846. He was the son of Albert Orange and Rebecca Harrod. He passed away in 1866.

Rebecca M. Orange who md 'father of said son on 24 Oct 1843, Smith Co, TN.' Samuel enrolled 5 Aug 1862, mustered out 23 Sep 1863.
His mother states he 'was murdered near home on 19 June 1866 . . . pistol shot which caused instant death.'
Rebecca filed on 19 Jul 1890, stated her age as 63, and address as Sunny Lane, Butler Co, KY; Samuel left no widow or child under 16 yr, and Rebecca was without other means of support.
